Time and Time Again

Evenelstar wandered through the grassy field by his house just enjoying the feel of the light breeze and fresh smell of trees and flowers. Everything was perfect and he felt so happy. It was early morning and the sun was just coming up. Its warm rays just beginning to stretch across the ground. Evenelstar breathed deep and raised his arms up to the sky. Everything was in perfect serenity around him and Evenelstar felt content.
He stood there for a moment, enjoying how the sun was gently warming his body. He felt someone watching him. He dropped his arms to his sides and opened his eyes. Willowharp sat up on a low branch of a tree before him smiling and looking at him intently.
"Good morning!" she said cheerfully.
He smiled up at her noting how the sunlight danced on her long brown hair. Being married to such a wonderful lady like Willowharp never failed to have surprises.

He caught a sweet smell in the air and breathed it in. "You smell so good." She blushed and laughed. He always made her feel so special with his little sweet comments and the like.

With a little effort, Evenelstar climbed nimbly up and sat taking her into his arms. She relaxed and closed her eyes, leaning her head against his comfortable chest. She hummed sweetly as she let her mind wander. She smiled and cuddled closed when she realized that she could hear his heart beating steady and strong. Evenelstar smiled dreamily back at her, drunk from her sweet smell and leaned back against the trunk of the tree. She smelled like jasmines only sweeter he thought to himself.

"Dear, I love it when you sing. Your voice is so pretty." he whispered, not wanting to break the tender spell her singing had cast on him.
Willowharp blushed even redder but feeling elated from his compliment. Taking his hand in hers she placed it gently over her heart and sang soft and legato

"Close your eyes.
Give me your hand, darling.
Can you feel my heart beating?
Do you understand?
Do you feel the same?
Am I only dreaming?
Is this burning an eternal flame?"

Her voice was sweet and clear ringing straight into her husbands heart with every crecendo. Evenelstar opened his eyes and gave her a look that seemed to answer "Yes, I love you. Its not a dream. Its real. I'm here."
Willowharp lifted her eyes to the sun and sang on, this time with rising energy and strength behind her words,

"Say my name, the sun shines through the rain.
Oh life, so lonely then ease the pain.
I don't want to lose this feeling.
Is this burning an eternal flame?"

    Evenelstar cradled his beautiful wife in his arms, looking out over the land, thier home as she continued to sing, this time more softly but with passion.

"Close your eyes.
Give me your hand, darling.
I watch you when you are sleeping.
You belong with me.
Do you feel the same?
Am I only dreaming?"

"I love you." He whispered in her ear and hugged her closer as the last note faded into the sounds of the morning. "I love you too." she whispered back feeling that there was no place else in the world that she'd rather be. This was were she belonged. This was home.
